What Our Students Have to Say

Because we believe that what SIM has to offer is best described by our students, here are some of their testimonials. With more than 50 years of experience, we now have an alumni fraternity of 150,000 students from all around the globe.

Bianca

University of Birmingham, UK
Bachelor of Science (Honours) Business Management with Communications

“Back then, it was difficult for me to communicate in English, I’m afraid that I would not be able to cope up with my study. However, I’m so lucky and grateful that I found a lot people that were willing to help me get through my adjusting period especially during my diploma time. They were my classmates and my teachers. I remembered that some of my teachers were so patient in teaching us at class, they would not stop until we’re able to understand the module.”

Indra Sentanu

University of London, UK
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Economics and Finance

“During the summer of my first year in the University of London International Programmes, I joined the Analyst Training Programme run by retired experts in the financial industry.

The programme helped me build a strong foundation in doing analytical work, be it in the field of finance or economics. Building on this, I participated in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Research Challenge where my team won the school round and was selected to represent SIM GE in the national round against other universities. The competition helped me to learn first-hand from industry mentors how to properly conduct research, analyse the data, present them in an engaging report and share them through an impactful presentation.

All of these opportunities led me to secure an internship at J.P. Morgan as a Summer Analyst during the summer of my second year where my career plans are now well on their way.”

Gary Lim

University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, US
Bachelor of Science (Business Administration)

“I remember heading over to the SIM GE career fair and discovering a plethora of new careers I never even knew existed. This opened my eyes and gave me further insight as to what I wanted to do in the future.

I am also currently in the UB Student Council under the Events department. I really enjoy my time being in the council as the members are like a close-knitted family and the council has made my school life much more vibrant. As a council, we plan and execute events for the school, training new leaders and shaping the leaders of the future workforce. When we are not doing any council work, I can consult my seniors for help with homework while helping my juniors.”
